Pursuant to Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), your personal data is processed by Argüman Yapay Zeka Teknolojileri Anonim Şirketi (the “Company” / “arguman.ai”) as data controller, within the scope described below.

2. Personal Data Processed

• Identity: first name, last name
• Contact: email address
• Professional information: profession/title (optional)
• Account information: hashed password, account creation date
• Usage data: search queries on the platform, projects created, content saved

3. Purposes of Processing

• Creating and managing membership accounts
• Providing platform services
• Operating the usage-based credit system
• Improving service quality
• Fulfilling legal obligations
• Ensuring information security

4. Legal Basis

Your personal data is processed on the following legal bases set out in Article 5 of the KVKK:

• Direct connection with the establishment or performance of a contract (membership agreement)
• Fulfillment of the data controller's legal obligations
• The data controller's legitimate interest (service improvement)

5. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred to technical infrastructure providers (cloud servers, authentication, email delivery, AI service providers) for the purpose of delivering the service. Your data may be processed on servers located outside Türkiye. Such transfers are carried out in compliance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.

6. Cookies

Our platform uses only strictly necessary technical cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use cookies for marketing, profiling, or tracking. The analytics service we use is privacy-focused — it does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your personal data is retained for as long as your membership continues, and thereafter for any period required by statutory retention obligations.

You may close your account at any time directly through the account settings on the platform. Account closure triggers the permanent and irreversible deletion of all data tied to your account (user profile, search queries, projects created, saved cases, petitions, notes). The technical aspects of deletion (e.g. backup synchronization) are completed within a reasonable time.

Records subject to a statutory retention obligation (e.g. invoicing and accounting records under Article 253 of the Turkish Tax Procedure Code) are retained solely for the minimum period required by the applicable legislation and solely for the corresponding purpose; at the end of that period, such records are also deleted, destroyed, or irreversibly anonymized.

8. Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the following rights:

• To learn whether your personal data is being processed
• To request information if your data has been processed
• To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is being used in accordance with that purpose
• To know the third parties to whom your data has been transferred, domestically or abroad
• To request correction of incomplete or incorrect data
• To request deletion or destruction within the scope of Article 7 of the KVKK
• To object to outcomes adverse to you resulting from analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems
• To claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing
