arguman.ai for Claude · Documentation

Turkish, European and German case law
queried directly from Claude.

arguman.ai's index of roughly 15 million court decisions connects to Claude from its official connector directory in a few clicks. You run case-law search, citation lookup and sentence-execution computation in the course of an ordinary conversation, and every finding is tied back to the source decision. No code, no API key.

Usage

How to ask

Ask Claude in plain language. Two habits sharpen results noticeably:

  • Write doctrinal terms in Turkish. "Haksız tahrik" rather than "I lost my temper"; "tasarrufun iptali davası" rather than "he's hiding assets".
  • Start with the citation when you have one. Esas/karar number or ECLI fetches the decision directly.
Citation → full textExample 1
Claude looking up a Yargıtay Court of Cassation General Criminal Assembly decision by docket number and fetching the full text through arguman.ai
Given an esas/karar number, Claude locates the correct case and pulls the full text.
Doctrine research → synthesisExample 2
Claude assembling Yargıtay 1st Criminal Chamber precedent on the haksız tahrik (unjust provocation) defence and producing a cited synthesis
On a doctrinal question Claude fetches several decisions, reads their full text and writes a sourced synthesis.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What is MCP?›
Model Context Protocol — an Anthropic-led standard for connecting language models to external tools and data sources. arguman.ai exposes a single MCP server; Claude calls into it for case-law search, citation lookup and sentence-execution computation.
Who can connect?›
The connector is included in the arguman.ai Standard and Professional subscriptions, and in academic accounts. New accounts can connect during their trial (7 days for an open sign-up). Other accounts can be granted access on request — write to [email protected].
How are credits consumed?›
Expanded case-law search and the sentence-enforcement calculator deduct 1 credit per successful call. Basic search and the other tools use no credits, subject to daily fair-use limits. Credits draw from your arguman.ai subscription; there is no separate Claude wallet.
Can Claude write to my account or modify anything on my behalf?›
No. Every tool exposed over MCP is read-only. There is no endpoint for account profile, billing or personal data — the authorisation Claude receives only covers calling legal-research tools.
Can I use this from multiple devices?›
Yes. Each Claude client runs its own session, producing a separate connection record. Revoking from one device does not affect the others.
How do I revoke the connection?›
In your arguman.ai account, go to Settings → MCP Connections and remove the connection. Revocation is immediate; the associated tokens are invalidated and Claude will request fresh authorisation on the next call.
Does it make sense to ask about ECtHR cases in Turkish?›
Yes. Cross-lingual semantic retrieval surfaces ECtHR cases from their original English/French text even when the query is Turkish. Write the doctrinal term in Turkish; you do not need to translate it yourself.
